Full Job Description: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Payroll:

  • Processing of salaries and contractor invoices

  • All new employees are to be added onto the payroll system

  • Accurate capturing and updating of all payroll additions and deductions of employee salary

  • Check all reports, export data and provide this to the accountant for processing in Xero

  • Ensure that all salaries are captured and processed on SARS to generate and submit UIF and EMP201 monthly and EMP501 Bi-Annually

  • When required terminate employees by calculating relevant leave allocated and ensuring accurate pay to terminated employees and process on system

  • Ensure that all filing is up to date and stored in the designated areas

Accounts Receivable:

  • Generate student invoices

  • Monitor payments received and matched within the system, and highlight non-paying students for follow up

Accounts Payable and Cash Management:

  • Perform supplier reconciliations on a monthly basis

  • Create a monthly creditors payment schedule for payment

  • Post invoices to the our accounting system (Xero)

 

  • Other ad hoc finance tasks

 

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 with higher level Maths 

  • Relevant bookkeeping qualification or studying towards BCom or equivalent degree advantageous 

  • Experience in payroll advantageous

  • Solid Google sheets (or Excel) experience
